Maternowski Delivers an Outstanding Sequel: Exmortus Vol. 2, Temples Diabolic.

In the first book we left off with Ash and Steed, Simon and Ziggy at the Abby, where they are being once again chased for the mysterious key that Ash holds: The Prayer of Nemesis.

In this sequel Ash and his former group separate, given the harsh circumstances. Added to the pile of chaos, Ash has a heart beating for a love that no one really knows exists, except for Ash and possibly Steed. Ash is dissuaded from his company by his Heart's Desire, that girl who with one single word conquered his heart.

In this book we are given a whole new perspective of Ashley Xavier's evolution as a young man. The narrative concentrates mainly on the mental/psychological changes that are slowly transmuting our main character. Through adversity and being chased by a demonic reptilian-man called Ludwig, Ash slowly morphs into a warrior, of a spectrum we can only predict.

Again, character development is one of this Saga's strengths, a quality Maternowski dominates skilfully.

Imaginative and creative, this book's action is impressive, as it is unpredictable and delightful.
