Where I Found Inspiration

Despondency, a word that can be found in each and every single cobble-stone implanted into Antigua's streets. Ghosts and haunting sites, ruins and evil deeds concurred in this lovely city; as beautiful as it might be, it possesses a dark-past and yet, a lovely view to hold with more than just a glance.

Self-discovery is a powerful tool, found in one single place: yourself. Many travelers around the globe, like myself, have flown here--and remained for the rest of their lives--because this place attracts silence, meditation, a flight into the unknown, only to return with a valuable prize: your renown self.

This is the city that captured me. With its walls and ruins, with its silence, its deep walls embedded with memories and distant echoes of pain, redemption, and religious persecution, Antigua fascinated me since the begenning. Inspiring in me emotions like sadness, it also empowered me with solitude, a powerful ally to delve into hidden depths.

Antigua is all about hidden depths. Delve into another time, into another world. It invites to linger, to scrutinize, as every detail captivates the mind and the soul.

This is where it all began. This is where the writing of Despondency took place, within the cold and harsh memories of a destroyed, yet beautiful city.
